Today, we’re going to look at another browser that’s popular among many users because it is highly customizable and like Brave, you can control the amount of tracking that’s allowed when you’re surfing the web. We’ve already covered how to install Firefox and the Brave browser on Chrome OS using Linux. That feature is a much-needed resource for many Chrome OS users that have adopted Linux apps for finances, productivity and education but today, we’re going to install a third-party browser just for the fun of it. The time where we tinker with Linux on Chrome OS to explore what can be done for one simple reason. Once the installation is finished you can launch the Brave browser using the terminal or from the menu easily.It’s that time again. You can also update the Brave browser on Linux using the same command if an update is available. This will install the brave browser on our system. Now finally fetch and install brave using the command below. sudo apt update Step 5: Install the Brave browser his will fetch information from the brave repository as well and in the next step, we will be able to install the Brave browser on our system. Now update the list of packages using the following command. This will allows us to fetch brave from its repository and install it on our system. echo "deb stable main" | sudo tee /etc/apt//brave-browser-release.list Now add Brave browser’s repository to the sources list by running the following command in the Terminal. Step 3: Add Brave repository to the sources list This will download and add the trusted gpg key to our system and we will be able to update securely from this repository.

You must add Brave browser to the list of trusted packages by running the following command in the Terminal. sudo apt install apt-transport-https curl gnupg Step 2: Add brave browser to the trusted packages list Install all the required packages for the installation of Brave by executing the following command in Brave.
